Jana DowlingJana Downing is a Seattle-based traditional fine artist, graphic designer/creative director and amateur photographer. After having spent the last 15+ years focusing primarily on my graphic design/creative direction career, I recently returned to painting after my life was jolted by an unexpected cancer diagnosis. That caused me to reevaluate the priorities in my life, realizing that I have a gift that I had been ignoring. It also woke me up to the beauty around, soaking up and cherishing every moment, and leaving me with a desire to use my gift to relay that beauty to others through my art.

Lewis LaBrasheFor 20+ years, Lewis owned LaBrashe' Gallery of Seattle, and wore many hats-designer, curator, and artist-largely working with textiles, custom designing hand-woven wool and silk Tibetan rugs. When Lewis decided to retire he chose to devote more of his time to fine art. Lewis' long-time hobby was photography. You would often find him either at the Seattle or Edmonds waterfront capturing the beauty of the sunsets. "Once I realized I could not recreate that which was already perfect, I decided to work with the colors within." Starting with acrylics, Lewis wanted to maintain a fluidity to the overall design. This gave a very natural organic feeling to the piece. The goal was to give a relaxing peacefulness to the viewer and to soften the overall texture of a given space. Please stop into SPA EIR to view these creations up close.
